Announcing Sue Ryder’s new partnership with HomeServe UK
We are thrilled to announce a partnership with HomeServe, one of the UK’s leading home assistance providers. Through fundraising activities, staff training and skill-sharing projects, this exciting collaboration will help us to be there when it matters for people going through the most difficult time of their lives.
Working together to support people in their homes
After an extensive search and shortlisting process, we are so excited to have won HomeServe’s staff vote and be their new national charity partner.
The foundation of this partnership is the clear synergy of being there for people in their homes when it matters. HomeServe keeps the nation’s homes running smoothly, putting the customers at the heart of everything it does, while our services provide care and support to people in the comfort of their own homes through our Hospice at Home and Online Bereavement Support services.
Caroline Graham, our Director of Fundraising, said:
“We are absolutely delighted to have won the HomeServe charity staff vote and want to thank the engineers of HomeServe for voting for Sue Ryder. We look forward to having a long and successful partnership.
“This partnership will allow us to continue to provide specialist and compassionate support through our hospices and care centres and to grow the reach of our much-needed online bereavement services, helping us in our ambition to create a society where no one has to face grief or bereavement alone.
“We look forward to working closely with HomeServe colleagues to raise awareness of our Grief Kind campaign which aims to equip people with the know-how and confidence to support others through a bereavement. We understand that it can be difficult to know what to do or say to help someone who is grieving.
“Through our partnership, we will provide expert knowledge and resources to HomeServe staff so that if they are working in a household that has experienced a bereavement, they have the confidence to communicate with compassion and signpost to Sue Ryder’s online bereavement services.”
Greg Shelton, Charity and Community Manager at HomeServe, said:
“We’re thrilled to announce Sue Ryder as our new national charity partner. We found real synergy between HomeServe and Sue Ryder’s values, goals and objectives. At the heart of both our organisations is a desire and motivation to help people in their homes. We look forward to a long, successful partnership.”
Sue Ryder wants to deliver services that meet the needs of more people, enable them to access personalised, life-enhancing care and the work we do with our partner organisations help us to expand the reach of our care.
