“I want to do this to prove to myself that I still can” were the daring words of the 93 year old Gloucestershire grandmother, Betty, who was strapped to the wings of a biplane in support of Sue Ryder.

returns
to
support

Hospice
Launching in September, Sing for Life will sign up 40 or more local women to take part in a ten week pop-up singing project. Working towards a fantastic live performance event at The Cresset this November, all funds raised will be supporting Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice.

In November 2021, two nurses from Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice in Bedfordshire swapped their uniforms for warm jackets and hiking boots as they took on a wintry trek in Iceland, to raise thousands of pounds towards the care they provide.

She previously worked as an Events Fundraiser for Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice, so has first-hand experience of how important fundraising is for the charity.

Sue
Ryder.
After taking on the December Daily Dash in 2020, school teacher Rebecca is hoping to do it all over again this year. Both her father and grandfather received end-of-life care at Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice so Rebecca, 29, was keen to get involved in the annual challenge in which participants run, walk or jog 5k every day throughout December to raise funds for Sue Ryder.
